About Us

We are here for YOU, no matter who or where you are.

The Battle-Scar Free™ Movement (BSFM) is a 501c3 nonprofit faith-based organization that addresses the issue of domestic violence and abuse. Through one-on-one support and community outreach, we assist individuals—victims and survivors—to overcome the long-lasting effects of abuse as they transition from victimization and say YES! to LIFE! in today's world.

The Founder, Angela Edwards, is a SURVIVOR of domestic violence and has made it her mission to help as many women, men, and youth as possible through her advocacy for others. Angela's motto is "Trumpet for Change"! Together, we—as a community—will resonate even LOUDER!

~ BSFM'S CORE SCRIPTURE ~

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My *yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” ”

(Matthew 11:28-30, NKJV)

*Yoke defined:  Yokes were put on the necks of animals so that they could pull a plow or wagon. A yoke was a symbol of obedience and hard work. (CEV, Biblegateway.com)
